FAVORITES!
The festival’s festive opening concert is with two award-winning young artists: Anna Bæk Christensen (soprano) and Octavian Leyva Dragomir (pianist). Last year they won – as the first – the distinguished Dorothy Irving scholarship, which was celebrated with a prize-winning concert in the Grünewaldsalen at Konserthuset in Stockholm. Both have previously participated in the Nordic Song Festival’s masterclass, and it is a great joy to have them back to give an innovative and personal concert. The audience undoubtedly gets a rich experience when they interpret winter’s melancholy, spring’s explosive zest for life and summer’s lust in tunes by their favorite composers, i.a. Grieg, Stenhammar and Heise.
